Hi,
I am a beginner flying Superstar with Skysport 4VF.
I plan to have a P51 with flaps & retracts so I am doing some researchs on radio systems. I would appreciate if someone could help explain:
Is Jr made in USA ?
Why Jr has never been on Towerhobbies website ?
Thank you very much !

JR radios are made in Japan.
They are sold in the US by Horizon Hobbies, the competitioon for Hobbico which is the parent company for Tower.
If you get one outside the US, keep in mind that it has to be on 72 MHz to be acceptable here, many Asian countries fly on other frequencies.

Nope, Multiplex is German. All the radio gear I know is either German or Japanese/Far East. Why that's the case is a political/economic question.

Kraft and ACE where the only US made Radio systems. I had several people in my area that flew with those. They just did not compete price wise with Futaba & JR in the 80's. They both had advanced systems for there day. Sorry we have to go to foreign sources.

Hi Steve,
I'm just curious. US R/C market is huge, but many items are imported: kits, radios, engines.
Cheers.

FMA
FMA direct has radios and servos and other stuff that (I believe) are made in the US.
From the site www.fmadirect.com the radios look butt ugly but I understand the servos are good and their battery cahrgers/conditioners are top notch!
Regards,
Patrick

FMA equipment is made in various parts of the world. Some here in the US and some abroad. Fred Marks (owner) was just inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame.
