I suppose there are tons of reasons why someone can't login.
I guess one has to start out by at leaST TRYING TO ISOLate (oops) where the problem is your machine, your server, or the RC server.
More times than not -- it's a complete toss up! LOL
See if any one else that you are in touch with has had the same problem --- go from there

I don't think it was the site. I spent a good deal of time last night troubleshooting what appeared to be routing problems in the upper levels of the Internet.
Anyway, everything looks good this morning...so post away!

There were definite issues on the Internet last night. Spent allot of time with customers last night on the phone explaining it to them.
Wonder if the Lycos europe screesave software had anything to do with it.

LOL @ the screensaver idea! But I don't think that was it. I was seeing high latency and packet loss on networks belonging to AT&T, Qwest, Sprint, and Cognet, with the heaviest impacted areas being on the West Coast.

I saw the same thing.
Looked like the old MaeWest and MaeEast setups back a few years ago when those 2 router banks would take down a whole side of the North American continent because they were overloaded or a bad storm took out power.
Sprints looking Glass web site was all sorts of wierd last night. Their BGP updates were through the roof [X(] trying to compensate for the latency and loss.
Someone probably cut a line out west or a major router lost an interface or 2 and someone forgot to clear ARP after replacing it. In short routing was all screwed up.

I had the same problem also. i was thinking it was my computer as i could use all other websites and just had a problem with RCU, i could look at the marketplace look at/send PM's but not get into the forums. I'm happy everything is back to normal. i was like a junkie without his/her dose of methadone. i cannot live without my daily dose of RCU.

I thought it was an RCU problem, or downtime of the Boards... The rest of the site was up...
Although I did manage to get in twice over about an hour which consisted of about 25 Reload attempts...
???
Interesting comments Re: Internet Down...
Would hate to have the Job of Explaining that to customers... WOULD SUCK
Most of my customers are still looking for the slot in the computer where your mail goes HAHAHAHAHAHA.... Try explaining the above explanations to them....
