Saito Engines
Anyone have any recommendations on where to get a Saito .72? I usually purchase from Tower but they don't carry Saitos. I was looking at buying from Horizon Hobby. Thanks.

Check with the Hobby Barn at www.hobbybarn.com There prices can beat Horizons' sometimes. (most times actually) Call or email them. May take a day or two with email, but they will answer.

I prefer my LHS; their prices match or are close to the internet folks and I like keeping them in business. That way, I have a place to go to get all my parts without having to wait. Plus, they drop $20 if you buy an airplane and engine.
You might consider the Saito .82. It weighs 8 grams less (not much!), but makes 1.5 vs. 1.2 HP and mine runs puuuurfect.

RE: Saito Engines
Thanks guys I'll take a look at those places. Any suggestion on glow plugs for Saitos? Since I place orders with Tower often, do they carry glow plugs that will work for Saitos?
I wouldn't mind buying from my LHS but there are none that are close and my schedule gives me very little free time right now.

RE: Saito Engines
I sent you a pm about Chief Aircraft prices. Nowdays Saitos come with a pretty good plug. I would use that for break-in then for flying install an OS F plug. Some will claim that other cheaper plugs are as good but the "F" plug always works. Save the original Saito plug to loan to your "buddies" that never seem to have a spare to replace their good cheap blown plug. The saito plug works good in two strokes too.

If you haven't purchased the Saito yet, try www.hobbyhorse.com
They have free shipping on purchases over $100. The prices are the same as everywhere else also. I bought a Saito 40 from there and some servos. I have had very good results from them.
Good luck.

Thanks DTB. Chief Aircraft has the lowest price on Saito's by far so I picked it up from them.
Anyone got a recommendation on a good spinner for a Saito .91 running 15x4 prop? I'm not sure what size to go with. Thanks.

RE: Saito Engines
NAS,
What kind of price did you get from Chief? Aside from their free shipping, they seem to have the same $224.95 (FA-72) price that everyone else does. There seems to be no varying from Horizon's prices from what I can see.
