Just got my Tower Voyager together and looks pretty good I still need to get a flight pack for it though. I mounted the motor inverted not sure how reliable it's going to run. Does anyone have this plane and if so any complaints or tips. THANKS!

i've got it.. i'm not sure if they have upgraded the covering, i've got one from a year or two ago that came with the horrible sticky paper type covering.
hmm, what else... the pushrods are not the greatest, the fuselage is REALLY tight to work in. it flys ok. very quick, but somewhat of a floater like a trainer. unfortunately, mine only got about 3 flights last year, it isn't my favorite plane to fly so it doesn't get much stick time. (it ranks about at the bottom of my flyable planes...)

I have one and am in the process of removing the RED covering from the sides of the fuse. I just won't stay glued down. I have some red ultra cote and will try to match the design. This is not my favorite plane, but its competition is two Ultra Sticks, a 60 and an US Lite, a U-Can-Do 46, a Something Extra, and a 4*60. I never expected the Voyager to perform like the others anyway. I have as much throw in the control surfaces as I can get and still it is pretty docile. For what it is, it is an ok plane and I like just kicking around with it. My only complaint really is the covering. You can expect the normal problems with an inverted engine, like flooding, or hydro lock, so you just have to be careful when fueling it. I would recommed a remote glow setup though. I sure makes it easier to attach a glow starter with the engine inverted. Here is a couple of pics of mine...the pilot is the flea from Nickelodeon...

at least it sounds like they improved the covering. the old stuff was terrible!!!
I had my irvine .53 in mine for awhile with a 11x9 or 10x10 prop. that thing was scary fast!! fast enough to rip the cowling off one time. I saw something flutter a little bit, then a pop, and then pieces coming down. the next time by I noticed exactly what happened, pretty hard not to with the entire cowling missing!

Will a glow plug with a idle bar help prevent flame out with the inverted motor?

The idle bar will help with Enya, and GWS 2000 engines. Any of the others I have not really seen the diffrerence. I did have 1 Rossi 45 that ran better with an idle bar. Try it, it only cost $4 to try. I would use Thunderbolt long. As good or better than some of the other over rated and high cost plugs.
Good Luck
