i bought a sig senior and i converted it to taildragger. after chargeing the batteries up, i was testing the action of the tailwheel and as i look down, wheel turns in the oppositte direction of the rudder. it just dosent look right to me,i havent started the plane yet or else i would taxi it to test it out, any help or a picture would help. thanks

I'm guessing that you used a separate pushrod and the opposite side of the servo arm on the servo, right? The tail wheel pushrod, if that's the case, has to be on the same side as the rudder pushrod.
Of course, if it's already on the same side, it has to be on the other side.

I have switched over to the Sullivan tail wheel assemblys on all my tail draggers. It uses the spring wire that goes into the rudder for turning. Much simpler set up and inexpensive. [8D]

Yup, exactly... You can drive it from another hole in the same servo, but sometimes this can cause binding, etc... The easiest thing to do, if you have the room is to screw the clevis off the pushrod for the rudder... Slip on a small "wheel colar" and then put your clevis back on.... You can then slide the other pushrod (for the tail wheel) through the colar and lock it down with the set screw. Be sure to use lock-tite on the set screw, though for a tail wheel it's really not critical if it comes loose...
The other option depends on the tail wheel.... If you can "reverse" or spin the control horn on the tail wheel around, then you can keep the pushrod on the opposite side of the rudder like it is now, but once the control horn for the tail wheel is on the opposite side, it will operate in the right direction.....
Anyway, bottom line is, yes, you want the tail wheel and rudder to move in the same direction... i.e. if the rudder deflects to the left side of the fuselage, then you want the tail wheel to deflect to the left side of the fuselage....

I just took a look at the Senior. The Senior and the LT40 are the type that have the rudder above the elevator. The Sullivan tail wheel assembly requires that the rudder be the type that comes down level with the fuselage, so it woudn't work in ths case. [

running your tailwheel off the opposite side of the rudder servo will work just fine. I've had my LT40 set up that way for a while now, and have had zero problems with binding or anything else.
