i bought a new mega tech skyliner is 2 acers enough space to fly it? can list the pros and cons of it? also i found it on two web sites (limnet.com and skymall.com) and one said the flying time is aproximitly 5-6 minutes and the other said it was about 18-20 minutes. so now im confused how long the batterys last. do you have any tips on flying it?

I am very newbe so take my recommendations as such.

I believe you should go to the nearest hobby shop and find out where the locals fly. Go out to the field and talk to the guys. They were sure helpful here.

If you have never flown you will need an instructor or you will crash.

Please do not use your radio until you know you are far enough away to preclude interfering with another plane.

Good Luck!

Let's see....a Megatech Skyliner....yes, 2 acres should be enough.....because it probably won't stay in the air for more than 30 seconds!! Sorry that you bought that plane...I had an Airstrike, witch is basically the same thing.....and I could never get it to fly right....even after I had been flying glow models for a year.....even had another experieced person try it....no go. If you can't get it to fly sucessfully right away, sell it on ebay before you do too much damage to it! It won't get any better!

blueangel, I never got that far on mine.....I'm sure a bigger motor would probably help it.......because it has a lot of trouble climbing with the stock motor. Hopefully the Skyliner that you got has a bigger motor than the Airstrike did......maybe you'll have better luck with it.

I have no idea what you could get for it.......maybe flying it is worth a try......If you want an electric, I would suggest something like a Wattage Mini-Max or a Lite-Stik....or the GWS tigermoth.....these aren't complete combo's, so you'll have to buy the components seperately, but any good online or local hobby shop can peice it together for you.....and it will probably be about the same that you spent on the Skyliner
