Ok on the radio gear when i flip the switch it takes it maybe a second to go live, acts like a pcm setup is that normal? And on the engine if i switch props to a apc 12.25/3.75 will it hover, have no idea what it weighs.

1. Yes, when you switch on any system they do will do just that on power up, normal.
2. No, it will never tuly hover even if you acheve the better than 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio that is required. This is assuming you are talking of true vertical hover suspended only by the propellor and not just flying slowly into a big wind. Power is only one part of the equation, the other is powerful controls (elevator and rudder). The control surfaces on that airplane are just not up to the job on that airplane.

I fly jr and none of my other ppm systems do that, just heard of lots of glitch problems. If it has the power it can truly hover my pt 20 t-rolls all day. does anybody know what its covered with i love china cote to this stuff i think its a china cote knock off [:'(]

My Futaba 7UAFS has a slight delay of about 1 sec. I believe it is while the processor goes thru a self test sequence of some sort or some other system to sync up internally. It certainly is of no concern unless your radio is doing something another IDENTICAL system is not doing. Could be wrong. Some radios might not bother with a self test. Obviously, non-computer radios wouldn't have a need for one.

I apologize for answering your question honestly and accurately and will refrain from replying in the future. That would only be a waste of my time when the questioner only wants to argue with whoever suggest something other than what he wishes to hear. It is curious you choose the beginners forum to ask that question, which can only make one wonder if you are aware of what a torque roll really is.
I strongly stand by my statement that no stock trainer (stock is key word here and to make it simple for you meaning no grossly modified control surfaces and linkages) is capable of controlled sustained true propellor suspended flight for more than just a few seconds irreguardless of of whatever thrust you acheve.

all i did was move the clevis over to the second most inner hole on the control horn, thats not modified. all you had to say was yes it had the power or no it wouldn't. a torque roll is the plane rotating because of the engine torque, keep it vert with rudder and elevator. i chose this forum because its a nexstar. a lot of people can hover trainers. i know you can't that don't mean it can't be done. your last answer was dishonest because trainers can hover, my pt20 for 7 minutes. i didn't ask to hear yes it hovers i asked if i switched props would it hover. it won't now and don't have a spare to try. you need to chill or change your diaper because you act a little childish bad a 20 year old telling you that.[&o]

Buckner, I understand what you are saying, but to say you "answered a questions honestly and accurately" is a little conceeded. Maybe you answered it based upon your experience, but none of us have the definitive answer. I say this because I've noticed that you're one that sometimes acts as if they "know everything." It's not that you answer questions, that what this forum is for. However, when you answer them, and then someone disputes your answer, or has what they feel is a better answer, then that should be ok. It's just a forum for ideas, it's not the John buckner Q and A hour.

I have to agree with John on this one...
Its one thing to give an hones answer- But it's another to take the (nuh uhh my bla bla bla can do this) as a reply.. You did not ask about the PT20 you asked about the Nextar.... Your response will always be someones answer based on experience nothing more. John gave his honest answer and it was rebuffed.
This is a case of either (loaded) question or undesired answer-
I will wait for the near stock Nextar hovering video to be posted.. Or even the seven minute PT-20 for that matter...
