After 2 instructor lessons
and me flying about 40 flights by myself over christmas,
I completed the test at the club today and can now fly solo.
now i can really get some flying in cause i can go whenever i want now and not have to worry if an instructor will be there....
very cool

I have a while yet before I solo....but it is interesting, because my club (AMA chartered) doesnt seem to have any structure to the lesson planning. Everytime I go out there, I fly with someone new, and he basically gets it up there and lets me do what I want to do. They'll point out pointers here and there and keep me out of trouble, which is great. But, I feel that if I wanted to solo, I'd just do it. I don't know of any tests or checkride type things that are involved. Perhaps I just havent found out if there is yet.

Congratulation Cazarak!!!
What a feeling. As for me, after 2 lessons from my instructor, no news from him since. Still waiting to get to the air after 3 months of waiting. Still waiting, still waiting..............
