What would you suggest that would be a great second plane, I am leaning toward the Modeltech Magic Extra, but I am thinking it might be a little to advanced, what do you think would a great 2nd plane?

Recenty purchased my second plane and I love it.
It's a Great Planes Big Stick 40 with monokote, powered
with a F.S. 70 Surpass.
A friend put a .46 FX in his and is quite pleased also.
Looks alot better than a Tiger Stick.

Lotsa good avice already... so a question that might affect your best choice : are you planning on ARF, ARC, Kit, Plans... How much of the building do you want to do?

There are a few really good 2nd type planes out there. I am not into the "runway hog" type flying where you just hover and flip the plane over the runway right in front of you so I prefer doing loops or slow rolls while cruising at 80 mph. For this the best all around plane that I have seen is the Carl Goldberg Tiger, either 40 or 60 size. You can do a hover landing in a breeze or land it like your trainer. Crank it up and watch it cover the distance of your field really quick. These planes fly so well that they are also just fun to watch. Other good choices would be the Easy Sport, Mid Star, or Sig Four Star 40 or 60. The 4* planes fly well but float too much for me. If you think you would prefer close in aerobatics then the Thunder Tiger Lazy Tiger is a smaller alternative.

From: Bay Area, CA,
GP Super Sportster is what I chose. I went the kit route - but it comes as an arf.

From: Tooele, UT,
I recommend the Tiger 2 or Tiger 60. I just got done with the maiden flight, and it handles fine, but mine is underpowered. Overall a great plane...even when they are underpowered

high-wing then mid-wing then low-wing.
there are plenty of mid-wing planes out there, sticks are my favor choice, they take you to the next level nice and easy and later high-throws introduces you to the world of fun flying.- from there you name it....
