What is the right distance or spot to install the engine on the engine mount? The directions on the book does no justice. Should the carbarator be flush on the end of the fusalage? Here are pictures. Is this the right spot? should I move back? Should I move up? This is a OS .46 Ax. it looks so little. You sure this can handle this size plane? hahaha. Thanks!

Is that the ARF or the kit?
The kit instructions are crystal clear. I don't have them with me to tell you what they say for sure.
Just make sure the needle valve clears the fuse by 1/4" or so.

I think the only things that matter for the engine placement are CG and prop/fuel line clearances. When I built my Avistar, I put an OS .50 SX on it, which is a little heavier than the typical .40-.46 sized engines spec'd for it, so I just put it as far back as possible to minimize the nose heaviness of it.
So you can either put the whole thing together and then play with the engine placement to help get the CG right, or just put it where you think it looks good (making sure you have good prop and fuel line clearances) and just use your batt placement for the CG.

Thank you!, Well i'm working on both I have a LT-40 kit and a LT-40 ARF. I will post pictures of the kit when i'm done but thats an ARF. I havent even started the hobby and I already have 2!! haha. I'm enjoying the kit just as much as putting the ARF together. Why do I have 2? No idea Why dident I get 2 different planes? No Idea. I'm enjoying life and the hobby and for a beginner who had both a kit and a ARF, I enjoy both just as equally!
