Default .25 LA vs .25FX

Well i got my lazy tiger up in the air and she's a great flyer ! I want to give it a little more power / speed !! Is there a big diffrence betwen the LA and FX .25 ? or am i wasting my time by considering this engine swap .

Thanks in advance .

I swopped a 25FX for an LA40 and the FX flew the plane at least as well.

25FX vs 25LA should be no contest.

According to OS, the LA puts out .60 HP and the FX puts out .84 HP... that's 40% more power! I never had an LA, but I have a .25FX and have been very pleased with it so far, only have a few flights on it...

You guys are great ~! thanks for the advice , 40% is a pretty big gain ! I will go to the hobby store and pick one up tomorrow ! Also would a 9x5 prop on that engine be any better then 9x6 ?

Thanks

HP numbers in engine specs are basically garbage.

However, yes, the FX has LOTS more power than the LA in the .25 size, as others have said.

Btw, if you want a lot of extra power, and can afford a bit of extra money, look at the .32. Same mounting size and roughly the same weight as the .25FX, but even more power.

Why mess with an OS when you can get a Norvel?
