Default Inhereted Damaged Plane-UPDATE

As I posted some time ago I had inhereted a crashed Kadet Sr. from my late Father-in-Law. Well after what has seemed like forever I finally have it finished and ready for it's maiden flight. It's powered by a Royal .46 (that still needs a little fine tuning) and controlled with a Futaba 4ch. system. Though it's supposed to rain tomorrow I am going to hold out hope that it won't. I want to try to get it in the air tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Rick, are you up for Scobee Field tomorrow if weather permits? Email me if your interested.

Just curious, how much nose weight did you have to add? Mine was almost a pound with a .46. It still flew like a kite.

Have a blast. As was mentioned they are a very big kite so be prepared for it to float coming in for a landing

CAME BACK TO ADD TO THIS POST........SHOULD HAVE REMEMBERED TO TELL YOU THAT SCOBEE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR FLYING UNTIL SATURDAY BECAUSE THE CITY IS ADDING FOOTAGE TO THE RUNWAY TO ACCOMODATE THE TURBINE JET GUYS AND THE SITE IS CLOSED DUE TO HEAVY EQUIPMENT + WORKERS ALL OVER THE PLACE. Aeronut went yesterday and was by himself and flew on the side of the LINECONTROL planes off the grass.
Plus tomorrow is scheduled for RAINS according to Channel 27......Maybe SAT is better, huh ?

I had to add about a pound too. I'm still tryin' to get it secured. I had it glued in with wood glue but it vibrated loose when I was testing the engine/controls. It's sittin' in epoxy now.

Rick I'll call you in the AM. If it's not raining I'm goin'. I plan on being there around 10:30'ish or so (might be 10 might be 11). If it's rainin of course I'll wait til next week (Wed or Thu.) It's stormin' like crazy here right now. Hopefully it will pass tonight and the Sun God will bless us tomorrow.

I'll try it off the grass. No big deal. Weather Channel says 80% chance of rain tomorrow so I'm not holdin too much hope. If tomorrow gets rained out we can go Wed or Thur. next week. I prefer to go during the week since generally there's fewer people to contend with.

JUST SENT YOU A PM
FORGOT FURTHER THAT TOMORROW I AM TAKEN UP BY THE MRS. HAVING TO GO TO THE PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC AT 1PM......consequently, the whole day is LOST.
Please don't attempt flight BY YOURSELF............it USUALLY does not work...!
Also, be aware that there are PEOPLE out there who represent themselves as EXPERT FLYERS and offer to help, when they are NOT.....when they CRASH the newby's plane, they BLAME it on RADIO FAILURE.....
DONT RUSH INTO ANYTHING
( I have said this a MILLION times before ).....(most of the times it goes Un-Heeded)

sent you PM
Taking wife to PAIN CLINIC at 1pm
Not available to go anywhere else because driving and waiting around will take most of the day
Agree with weekdays being best.
Do not attempt flight by yourself. Shame to waste time/effort for so long.
Be suspicious of people offering to help. Some don't know but try to fly somebody ELSES planes. When they crash they blame the RADIO.
BEWARE
