Gent's, if I post some pictures of the repairs I have done would you check them out for me as this is my fist time
I am going to maiden her for a second time,(if that is possible) on friday, I am going to get my friend to video the event. First did'nt count, only about 5 seconds of air time.
I have changed my TX setup to mode 1, and had about 30 hours on my G3 sim to get my head round the change.
This is my first in depth repair, so not quite sure if I got everything right. Just went with common sense, replaced every thing that was broken, and put 1/4 tri stock hard wood (no balsa) around every thing.
I would appretiate any constructive comments.
Will post pics in about 8 hours when the camara comes back from site.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get someone more experienced to test fly and trim the plane before you fly it......since your original maiden only lasted 5 seconds.

You are dead right. But I am on my own out here in China. Self taught an all that. Doing the best I can with the recourses at hand.

Man ... mine got shot down when I was running pylons with my friend, he cut my horizontal stab off. Was thinking of getting another one and running a Saito 72 in it.

I understand Smoggy.........one idea before you fly it is to make the trims way out of whack on the simulator, then practice taking off and trimming the plane out.

Nice one Glowplug, goog idea, I shall have a few hours doing exactly that. I feel a little more relaxed with her, as she has already been crashed.

Good advice from Glowplug. Trick with trimming is to get plenty of height before making adjustments. However at the same time don't let the plane get too far away. high but close is IMO the best place to trim.

If the plane is out of whack it's tempting to dive for the trims as soon as possible. This is the route to disaster[]

Height is your friend.

better yet, why not trying flying with trims out of whack?

smoggy boy - you might want to put a little up elevator in the beginning. since you're flying mode 1, if you have diving and rolling, then you can't remove your hand from either stick. thus, having one set so that you know it's going to fly will help you be able to trim the other.

so what happened? on another post you claimed that you are doing "okay"... i hope that true!!! let us know!!!
