My Feedback: (1)
I don't have any photos, but what I do is wrap the receiver and battery in foam and wrap the foam in some regular masking tape. I then put a 2" piece of self adhesive velcro on the back of the receiver, peel the protective tape off the other side and stick it where I want it. I do the same with the battery.
After they are well secured, I carefully remove the receiver and battery (push the other half of the velcro back down if needed ) and put some thin CA on the velcro half remaining in the plane. When the CA dries, I reinstall the receiver and battery. The self adhesive velcro is not going to come loose from the masking tape and the CA insures the other half is not going to come loose from the plane. To put them in another plane just cut a piece of velcro and use the half you need. I normally buy my velcro at ACE Hardware. It comes in a 5' roll for about $5. Almost any hardware store should have it.
FWIW - I try to mount my receiver IN BACK of the battery. In case of a crash, and in the VERY unusual case of the battery/receiver coming loose from the velcro, I don't want the battery to crash into the receiver - too much chance of damaging the receiver due to the battery weight. In numerous "controlled HARD landings"
I have only had the battery come loose once, and that was when the engine was literally buried 10" deep.
