Not sure what charger your talking about... the stock Futaba trickle chargers have LEDs that light when it's properly connected to the batt and it's charging. If the LED light goes out in this case, it means the batt came unplugged...

they are as plugged in as i can get them, the green LED light is on but it is veri faint, the RX light in red and is very bright. If i wobble the cord that goes into the TX the LED light flickers. Im pretty sure it is just the stantard Futaba charger, ansmann 240v TX/RX Futaba Charger. Maybe G520 means sumthing?

Both LED's should light up with similar brightness. They indicate that the circuit is complete and charging is taking place. They will not go out when charging is complete and are strickly a manual charger that must be monitored for charge time. If there is flickering of the light then the circuit is being broken somewhere it could be at the Tx plug but most often on those chargers it occurs where the wire go into the potted chargers (internally these chargers are not effectively repairable) however if you can isolate where the brake in the wire is then its simple to repair. Also carefully check the the plug receptical inside the Tx for spring contact pressure.

You have a possiple accident waiting to happen. The wall-wart chargers are dumb units. If connected - light on, disconnected - light off.
Never assume that the batteries have been charged, even after being connected the whole night.
Without getting technical, if you are not sure if it is working, have a competent person check it for you. Unfortunately, hobby store staff are often the worst to ask. Then again you might be lucky and have a honest store owner. When in doubt, don't fly! It is better to be on the ground and wish you were flying, than being in the air and wishing you were on the ground! Hope you get it sorted, mate.

First- what model radio again? I know Futaba but what model. You mentioned 240 volts, ours are 110 in USA. I have real old Futaba charger with 6FNK (or something like that) that only has one led. It glows red for rx and green for tx and something in-between if both are plugged in. Std wal-wart led's stay on as long as they are plugged into the radios. the radios MUST be turned off to charge. Rx battery can be removed and charged outside of the plane w/o switch harness if desired. ALL of this assumes std futaba equipment is in use. Field chargers will typically have the leds go off when done charging (you guys correct me if I'm wrong on this). Is there a model number on the charger? [sm=confused.gif]

Bushman, if you are turning your radio on when charging, that could be your problem. My 4 channel and 7 channel Futabas will stop charging when the switch is turned on. The led light on my charger goes out as soon as I hit the switch. Hope that helps.
