After the high wing trainer, you will need to progress to a low wing trainer - something like a 4*. Once you have mastered this, then you will need to go to a faster, more responsive plane, perhaps something Lanier Stinger, then onto something like the Great Planes Patriot. At that point you should be ready to handle the speed and responsivness of a hotliner.

Your flying skills and ability to adjust to the different planes characteristics will determine how fast you will advance.
