Default PowderCoatingWorld.com is up and going !

Due to the amount of interest in the Ultrastick Engine thread I figured I would let you ALL know " Beginners thread" that the site is 90% done and you can purchase most item's I have really enjoyed talking with you people and I’m glad to offer this service to you guys . I’m very pleased with the coating so far on the ultrastick and I have yet to find a flaw with it. You can view the site at www.powdercoatingworld.com.

Feel free to Email me with questions at [email protected] or post them here .

I would love to post this in the other threads as well because I do offer this to the RC Car people as well, is there a way I can do this without causing problems on the forum? And how can I go about adding a banner to this website so people can just click it if interested? ...Thanks all to the great site and awesome reply's

To post a banner ad, you'd need to contact Marc or one of the other administrators to buy space.

Good luck with the business, I'm guessing it should do well. I know I'll take advantage one of these days.

ON the airplane engines--are the prices quoted just for powdercoating? What about shipping? Or, is that buying the engine and powerdercoating both?

hmmmm, that's what it says now. I could have sworn that when I looked a while ago it said 230 for the 70, and 0 for the others. Couldn't figure that one out. I assume the 8 dollars shipping is return shipping? Does that price only include one color, or can you have it colored differently (i.e. the head one color, the muffler one color, and the engine body another color?)

That price is for the Engine and Head, 2 colors. 15.00 for a muffler / Pitts / Mac 1 color

Thanks for asking that question, I didn’t even mention that!

I can't see how it wouldn't void the warranty. You've got to completely disassemble the engine and remove the bearings. The manufacturer has no idea what kind of metallurgical process has been applied to the parts. I could be wrong, but if I was the manufacturer and got something back like that for a warranty return, I would be very suspicioius as to the real cause of the problems. YMMV

I would say that warranty issues should be the concern of the engine owner.

and the owner is the one who is going to be sending it in for painting, that is why I was asking the question.

I agree. It's no different than 'chipping' your new pickup truck. You want the mods, you eat your warranty. Great idea, Citation, hope you do well. I have a good friend where I live that does quite a bit of powder coating. I know the process, and frankly $40 is a steal of a deal!

Thanks Deadeye , For those who were concerned about the warranty , I went to my local hobby store and asked the owner what he though about it , he said it shouldn’t void it at all, he in turn called OS and asked them they said NO . Still the engine owner shouldn't be worried too much on this process, I have done my .46FX and.25 FX and they both scream.I would'nt ever do anything that would hurt something in the longrun , I did the study about this before i offered it to you guys here on the forum .
