Default Instructor says getting close to solo....

yesterday, I took the afternoon off. It was a beautiful day and sunday it is supposed to rain. I didn't really need to leave work, but priorities took over.

I flew several times. while up, I decided to do some maneuvers (loops, loops out into inverted, dives and not so pretty rolls) and my instructor was happy to see me being aggressive and put the plane into some out of control maneuvers, then how I recovered. I felt really good about my flights, my knees weren't knocking as bad as in all my earlier flight.

I am building a spad right now and my instructor wanted me to feel how different it would feel than a trainer. we hooked the buddy box to his aerobatic plane (magic) and after he took it up, I flew it to see how much touchier it would feel than a trainer.

boy, this is so cool!

Congratulations. Yeah, it's really nice to hear excitement over those first few flights, and the developing skills.

I would say he is quickly becoming addicted and rightly so, he sounds so very excited. I know I am just reading his post

yes, i've landed and taken off 10 15 times, maybe 20. most of the landings were good. I have broken a couple of props though. my take off have been good from the start.

just get a little rattled once in a while, instructors had to save me a few times. actually, my first landing was very good. some of those that followed weren't so pretty, but even they left the plane in good shape.

the only real nasty one was when I decided I knew how to do this by myself back a month ago. (ya'll remember that post "stupid - stupid - stupid.....) that one cost me a new wing and a prop. knew I was in over my head as soon as I got up. but, everyone on the universe who responded peeped me up by saying I'd done what many before me had also done.
