Smoggy,

I am completely thrilled at you wanting to help this guy out. that has got to be the best thing I have heard of for a while here and the idea of maybe getting him on a buddy box is also excellent. You may find that this guy is pretty cool and may let you take a shot at flying one of his kites. After the inital reactions it seemd as both of you got along well so going to talk to him will probably work out well, very nice gesture. [sm=thumbup.gif]

Please post the pics when you can, I have got to see these huge kites, the have got to be cool

Thank's Bubba,

The guy is pretty cool, I asked him if he would like a try with my Kyosho foamy.15 and he has accepted, all be a little reluctantly. So I am getting it ready for him.

BTW to all you gent's that have responded to this thread, The guy would not accept any money for his losses. HE FLAT REFUSED. So if the likes the sport I think I will PAY IT FORWARD and give him my trainer, might even get a small club started (three of us now) and challenge the "KITE"flying bregade to some realestate

An electric club may be within the financial limits of the area. Nobody a donkey over there either, OK. Didn't want you to hand your tx to someone and tell him it was mode 1 and have it be mode 2, causes balsa splinters. It is OK to fly whatever mode you want as long as you can control it.

Good luck with the new plane.

How about getting the KITE guys involved with the club. That would be a first I think. An R/C club that has very large kite fliers. That way you guys know who is up and where. Or did I read the post wrong and that is what you are talking about.

So you saw the Pay it Forward thread. That's also a nice idea giving him the trainer. Sounds like he is gonna get the money you offered him one way or another.

I said it once and I'll say it again, the way this was/is being handled is exceptionally nicely done, I could not have done better even on a good day.

If you get the club going PM me. I'd like to post links to it on my clubs site and my LHS' site

Bruce,
Not a bad idea, I will have to ask about see what gear is available, I know the guy's that fly in the next district, 3 hours away find it easyer to fly glow, and mix thier own fuel.

Bubba
We are at the new field tonight, it's an unfinished road. Needs cleaning but plenty of room and lots of space iether side. I think there will be four of us tonight.
WM Sky Raider II
WM Clipped Wing Cub
Kyosho .15 Foamy Trainer
Challenger 403 Park Flyer

Looking forward to it

I will post some photos, Maybe in a new thread.
