Maybe someone has a better solution, but the only solution i have found for epoxy is cutting...either a scroll saw or preferably a table saw....but your options are limited...

Hi matkix,
If the wing is symmetrical it should fit either way although you will have to relocate or add supports for the wing fastening bolts.
If the wing is not symmetrical you are in for surgery. Cut the two wing pieces apart where you joined them, (including through the brace), and then fabricate a new dihedral brace.
LOL
Cheers,
Colin

maybe you don't need to take it apart!!! How much dihedrel is there in the wing set up as you have it???? Or do you have antihedrel?? If you have any dihedrel it should be OK, it just won't recover from turns etc. as well as some trainers. If it has anhedrel I'm not familiar with the reaction but I have heard of folks that prefer anhedrel. Check with your instructor before you screw up a wing by cutting it apart then glueing it back WRONG. I just had a student that did just that and I didn't know he had worked on the wing. It folded in flight, not pretty.

heat will soften epoxy, I just don't know if you can get enough heat to where you need it. A heat gun will make epoxy melt like syrup. You might give it a try.

That's the dihedral brace, and I'm guessing it's going to be necessary to remove it or cut it.
You might be able to make a new brace and find a way to mount it beside the other one, in a different location. The easiest might be to buy a new wing kit.
Sorry,
Dennis-

LOL... I'm sorry for this, but had to take a jab... Every wing I've ever put together always says to use 30-minute epoxy for gluing the joiner and joining... Theres a reason..
Anyway, heat gun won't work, you'll never get all the epoxy soft everywhere along the joiner... You best bet is to do as has been suggested... Cut it in half and redo it... What you'll need to do is first get it in half... Then use a roto tool to get out as much of the old joiner as you can.... Make a new joiner that fits and do it again... This time you'll have to measure the dihiedral yourself and make sure it's right. Also, when your done, since the new joiner is not going to be as strong as the old, you need to re-enforce the wing... Go back to the hobby store (while your picking up the 30-minute epoxy...
and get about a 1 1/2" or 2" wide strip of fiberglass cloth... When the wing is done, mix up new epoxy... Take a brush and brush the epoxy on in a very thin coat over the cloth (the cloth will wrap all the way around the wing at the joint..) When your done you'll have a fiberglass re-inforced joint that won't go anywhere...
Course, as has already been mentioned.... If this ARF is from the Empire, they probably sell a new wing for it... It would certainly save a WHOLE lotta hassle... If it's not from the Empire, you may be able to contact the company directly and see if you can get a new wing from them....

Thanks for the help guys, I'm hopping in the car no and going to see what they can do for me. I don't want it to fold in flight. That would really not be good.

Doesn't need a dihedral brace. A couple of layers of 6 oz. glass cloth, about 4 in. wide and finishing resin is all it needs.
