I went out with my instructor today for the after crash maiden of the plane. I am very proud of how good i did in the rebiuld. It flew great and while i went to the hobby shop to get more supplies for the rebiuld i also got some new landing gear.
All i can say about the dubro gear is WOW. No bunny landings any more, when its on the ground, it's stayin there.
My instructor was now just showing how to do some aerobatics and things like that. He showed me how to do spins, snaprolls, and cuban 8's. I am very glad we went out today cause it was a great day to fly. No wind at all perfect conditions.
Though it was after my solo, i thought he would bring the buddy box out, but he didn't. And i am VERY glad. At first, I wouldn't land it because it had been 2 weeks since i touched the sticks. After getting warm thumbs, I finially got landed and did some touch and goes.
Sorry if this doesn't make since i was just so excited. I will edit later. I had the perfect kodak moment with no camera in my hands, so i didn't get pics
The plane did good, and I am very proud of myself.

Congrats on the successful flights, and on the rebuild! Next time I'm out I need to practice my cuban eights and inverted flight. High up that is. LOL Have fun!

Thanks for the replies,
Grant, I am goign to probably practice that sunday. Like you, UP HIGH. I just don't feel comfy when i accidently roll inverted. Another thing that mess me up today was that as it was gettin dark, The black plane effect got me a little disoriented on a landing approach, roughly 15 feet off the ground, luckily i saw it and pulled out immiediatly.
Shakes, It was a little cold, but perfect if i had longsleeves on.
Bubba, Get to toledo!

Glad to hear the rebuild and re-maiden went well. Don't get cocky and enjoy your flying. The "black plane" effect can be a killer, gets worse with the gear up or with trees in the background on a low approach.

bruce, make me want some lights and just make an on, off switch to push on so i can see on flights like that. Like a red and blue or something.
I am very glad i didn't get cocky or anything. The aerobatics were very cool, but i will always make sure to go very high when i do them

Thanks guys. I am making some fun things to mess around with now... a cup will go on the turtle deck and drop skydivers when i go inverted, and i am putting on of those party poppers (pull the string and confetti comes out) on also. So far I am going to just make it where if i put full down elevator... Then the thing will pop... It will be awsome.. Prolly won't try till a later flight though and will do all of this up high
