I have built this all wood field box and I want to paint it yellow. Do I have to prime it before or just paint it as is. Also what type of paint do I have to use to be fuel proof? Need halp if you have experience with this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've built a couple and never really primed but you can
you can use any polyurethane brush on or if you want to rattle can it use a polyurethane spray
I used red devil brush on poly on one and a valspar marine polyon the other
just let it dry good
and it'll be fuelproof

I've had 2 different Goldberg field boxes over the last dozen years and I used brush on yellow Rustoleum. No primer. Let it dry good. Seems to be very fuel proof and durable
