Default Manual for Irvine ABC 40.

Hi. I am just beginning in this hobby. I bough a Irvine ABC 40 from a shop which has since closed down. Is the an owners guide or manual available for it. I have not started it yet, and I want to do it correctly.

Thanks

Default RE: Manual for Irvine ABC 40.

hi mate i have a os 46 la irvine engine .the book was useless i followed it to the letter but no joy a mate told me to try this !!,close needle valve then open it 3,1/2 turns not 2 as in book then open carb place thumb over it and turn the engine over 8 to 10 times to draw in fuel .book says 3 or 4 wrong!! then close throttle to idle setting and attach glow starter then give prop a quick spin with electric starter only a second or so no more!!.guess what it works 1st time!!,then once shes running open throttle and close needle valve slowly till engine sound changes from 4 to 2 cycles(higher pitched sound lol).run her at this setting for a cpl of tanks then shes ready to fly.after each flight close needle a cpl of clicks till shes running at her maximum.im attaching a manual not sure if itll help but try the settings ive given you i tried for a cpl of days without succes at the manuals settings wich i beleive to be too lean but she started 1st time when i used these settings my mate gave me!!.good luck with it!![link]http://www.osengines.com manuals-50sx40,46,60,[/link][*] [*] [*]
