How about you guys, what's you weather like? 58 and partly sunny, High WINDS of 5 mph. Time to plug the planes in, drink some tea [:@]and enjoy some smooth air. [8D]

Here in Malaysia we fly all year round, about 90 degrees and humid ... almost all day! Unless its the rainy season then either the morning session or late afternoon will be sacrificed, now that happens no more than 3 months in the year.

Looks pretty stellar over here, too. Unfortunately, I'm at my folks place in western NY. No planes to fly over here. Still a great day though!
Have fun flying. I'll just sit out here, drink some coffee, enjoy the day and envy you.

I went out to the field on Tuesday evening, usually the wind dies down about 5'ish but no dice. I ended up reading about 5 chapters of the book I was reading waiting for the wind to die. It got more nasty as the evening progressed so no dice.
Yesterday, though, it was beautiful. It was in-and-out cloudy most of the day but the wind was pretty much nil so I packed up the Aerobat and headed out. Got in about 5 flights, mostly prop swapping to see what one I wanted to end up using (ended up with a nice performance with an APC 11-6) and then flew a few fun tanks. Great day. (Atlantic County, NJ).

I haven't flown since my solo two weekend ago thanks to the lovely weather we've been having. While I meant that sarcastically, it's actually been fairly nice on the weekends (if you're not a flyer) it's just been much too wind here to fly. I think the lightest wind on a weekend (the only time I get to fly) since my solo has been something like 18 mph. And that's pretty dang breezy for a beginner like myself. I'm hoping the weather report for this weekend is way off and the winds die down so I can go fly Saturday. We'll see.

I wish I could be out flying instead of at the office here working
Current conditions here in Mobile, AL
Clear 74 degrees
Winds out of SE at 9mph
Not too bad - maybe a little windy - it would be a crosswind on the runway.

76* here, with the wind gusting between 15 - 20 mph. Of course here I sit at my desk waiting for quitting time and no plane charged up and ready to go. Oh well...can't win em all.

Gents,
The weather here in North Jersey has been just too iffy lately. Three days ago it was a gorgeous day. Two days ago was high winds and snow squalls. Yesterday was nice again. Today is cloudy and windy, then sunny and calm, then cloudy and windy. I don't know which way is up anymore. There is an old saying; if you don't like the weather here, just wait a few minutes.

59 deg. winds 19 gust to 25. typical Okie day. People come from other parts of the country and see us fly in this stuff and freak, we usually have more problems on calm days. I have seen a Slow stick land backwards in a 22mph wind. he musta been goin 21 huh?
But they say, if you cant fly in wind, you cant fly in okla.

Boy, did you hit the nail right on the head with that one. I always get a chuckle when I see people on here that say the wind was gusting real bad at 12 mph!! Like you said, typical day down here. What really messes me up is a windless day. I can't seem to land without the wind!!!
