I'm currently using a Hitec Eclipse 7 and looking to purchase my second radio as I'm out of memory (7) on it. I'm considering buying a Futaba 7 CAP to service the new additions to the fleet as I purchase them. My question is: Will I be able to use the Futaba 7 as a slave and my Hitec as a master or vice versa? I have a few buddies at work that have showed some 'minor' interest in the hobby and would like to get their feet wet. I'd like to take them up and give them some 'safe' stick time using the buddy box setup.
thanks.
thanks.

As far as I know Futaba and Hitec are compatable. Shouldn't be a problem.
I just bought an Avistar for my son this Christmas, I got for that very same reason. I kept having people come and say that they were interested but I didn't have anything that they could try out. So since my son is only 5 yrs old I don't think he will mind too much if I use it to initiate some of my buddys. At this stage it is still a toss up whether he will want to fly when we go to the field or play with bugs he finds under the benches at the field.
