I just finished construcing and setting up my Sig Lt-40. Everything is fine except for the front to back balance. The plane is really nose heavy. Any suggestions on what I should do to correct this problem?

Are you doing the following

Balancing it upright?
Balancing it will the fuel tank empty?
Balancing it right on the main spar which is 3.5 inches back from the leading edge, I think? (I used to have one but I cannot remember the exact measurements in inches but it is right on the main spar)

you can always move the battery.

I used to have the same plane and setup and I needed no weight and had the battery right behind the full tank (between the servos and the fuel tank). That was a JR600MaH battery at something like 4oz's

One other question, what prop is on it. ZInger props are lighter than APC and Master Airscrew (MAS) that could also help.

After doing Bubba's suggestions...

The Four Star should be balanced upside down. It's a low wing plane.

Move your battery as far to the rear as you can.

You can add some stick-on lead weight from the LHS to the tail. Put a little epoxy around them when you get it right.
