I've tried K2R, and it doesn't work that well. Get some 100% denatured alcohol. Put some gloves on, and make sure your work area is well ventilated. Rub the area with the alcohol. Then use some paper towles to soak it up before it evaporates. This takes time, but it restores the wood to like it was before. It has to be 100% pure though because the water in rubbing alcohol wont mix with oil. Remember, this takes time, but it works.
