I want to move into warbirds and the only problem I'm having is a little ground control. This weekend I cartwheeled a mustang...not too bad but will need some glue! Yes, I took off before it wanted to. I was thinking of a CG Tiger 60 deluxe and converting it to the tail dragger but it may be cheaper to get the regular Tiger and add just main retracts but I don't think it would be the same.

Oops, just saw this post http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3104221/tm.htm but if you have any input on how it would compare to a warbird let me know, otherwise I'll keep reading the other post.

If you are up for a full kit, take a look at the SkyShark models. They are nice models and fly well, without a lot of the "bad habits" inherent to warbirds.

Somewhere nearby in this forum you will find a reference to H9's new P51 "trainer". Have a look at that. We are all dying to hear how it works & you look like a good prospect as a test pilot

Brit, I went to pick up my 9303 today (he was out[:@]) and he suggested the H-9 Trainer too. I didn't like it because it looks a little too ...? I'll let someone else do the write up on that, but thanks anyway.

The eaisest to fly war bird would be the Zero. Seagull makes a good one and if you do not overpower it will fly much like the real one. Otherwise the eaisest plane to fly for landings and takeoff is the Great Planes U Can Do 46 size. Handles well on the ground also.
