Default Flaperon Setup

I am returning to flying after many years away. Currently I fly an electric Unicorn Wing without difficulty. I have completed a GP Big Stik 40 ARF and wish to set it up with flaperons on my Futaba 7CAP. My field sits in o bowl of trees and requires a failry steep drop to get in and I have already lost my old CG Senior Falcon trainer at the tree farm. I understand the setup proceedure for the flaperons in the manual, but I am unsure about the mixing of the elevator and the percentages. Also, another member at the field had demonstrated that he had more success having his flaps go up instead of down due to problems with tipstall. I would like to get the flaperons usable for the first flight to help slow the plane down and allow a steeper descent (without the nose being into the ground). Also wondering about the use and effectiveness of airbrakes. Since my radio will do these things I figured it would be good to understand the pros, cons, and setup for the different options. Thanks for any help.

Default RE: Flaperon Setup

Flaperons may help. I'd start with 50% at first. Spoilerons might help, too. Experiment with both.
