Solo certificate

I was just reading through one of the posts and saw that Chad had uploaded a 'solo certificate'.
Well, our club 'solo' certificate needs to be re-done. The one we have now shows a plane crashing, which I think is inappropriate for a solo certificate.
How about some ideas, perhaps a picture or two, of a decent solo certificate from you guys. I am the club training coordinator and I need some ideas.

I predict within a few hours Mike will have designed your new solo certificate and it will look beautiful! As you probably know, he's a very talented graphic artist as well as a genuine nice guy. (Mike, you can slip me a 20 next time I see you

Ummm... no, I don't even know Minn Flyer other than on this forum (these forums). So, I have absolutely no idea what he does or how good he is. My original question was directed to 'the masses' to see if someone had something better for us (our club) to use than we are using now.
After 27 years of active duty in the Coast Guard (thus CGRetired as my login-name), I am perfectly willing and able to do my own work myself.

You probably already know this, but I think Howard was just giving you a good-natured ribbing. We all have faith in your work ethic and thank you for your work ethic (ex-military myself, my login name is a combination of my former AF occupation and my former dachshund, you'll have to think about that one for a minute).

I've got to be totally honest here. A majority of the diagrams I use here in this forum did come from Minnflyer, as well as the solo certificates that we give out. When he was getting ready to move into his new house he knew that his time here would be limited so he let me download a copy of his entire library so that those diagrams could continue to help others. I can hold my own doing diagrams in photoshop, but I'm definitely no where near as good as Mike is. He da man!!!!!
Mike, thanks for all that you do for the RC community

No, I sort of got that idea, just that it caught me completely by surprise, thinking that I, in no way, would ask someone else to do something for me like that. If Minn does this, then I will be the most appreciative, as will the club members that solo. I was never given a solo cert when I solo'ed last year, but being the training coordinator for our club now, I thought it would be nice to give one out that does not deptict a crashing aircraft... sort of against the grain... better showing success rather than failure, I guess.
Thanks for the input/clarification. I certainly appreciate every comment, no matter the content, and I do acknowledge the humor intended.

I have been with the RC Universe Forums for a short time, perhaps only a few months now, so I don't recognize ALL of the login names people use. But many are repeat, and, after a while, my pea-brain has processed enough to realize that some are moderators and know a lot more than I do about RC.
I have swapped information with Minn regarding aircraft, most recent in mind is the Midwest Aerobat that he reviewed. I bought one based on his recommendation and that of Frank Granelli of AMA Sport Aviator Magazine, and love the thing!
So, I am slowly figuring out that there is a LOT of talent out there, I just have to learn who those people are (many many.. ) and how to ask the right questions
Thanks again for the enlightenment

Not offended, just a tad bit... well, never mind, all is forgotten and forgiven, although there is nothing to forgive
. Shortly before the post, I got a call that my car needs a 'glow harness and relay' to pass the NJ state inspection. Cost: $630.00. There goes my new Quest II !! [:@]

You can send me a box of Dunkin Donuts (I'm an ex Jersey Boy myself)

I started working on it last night, but then I got company and had to stop. I got the club logo finished, but I never forwarded it to my office, so now I'm waiting till I know my wife is awake and I'll have her email it to me so I can finish it up.

I don't think we actually offer that service yet. I will recommend it to Fred.
Any job openings where you are for after I do that? [:@]
BTW - FedEx does not deliver to mail boxes or P.O. Boxes
