I'm not an expert pilot by any means. I'd like to have a mid or low wing. I have 2 trainers I fly alot. A spad I fly alot and a super sportster I have only flown once(on a buddy box, the first plane I ever flew). My dad bought it for me for xmas and the guy he bought it from trained me. Anyway I can fly but I still have trouble in crosswind landings with the trainer. The engine is from the kadet jr. I learned on.

Sonic .25 would be a nice fit... http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/pmm/pmma0125m.html
I'm planning to buy myself one... I've seen one fly with an old .25 (not fx) and it flies great. I'm also planning to slap a .25fx on it.

I'm showing my age here, but Bridi had a great 25 size plane called a T20 or Trainer 20. It had a semitrical high wing and was remarkably aerobatic. It was actually one of the best flat spin airplanes ever made. Man, if I had a 25 ,that would be the plane I would look for.
I think Bridi is up and running again, but I don't know if they have the full line.

If you don't mind an ARF the Lazy Tiger P51 is a nice little plane that would work well with that engine. There are a few of them at our club and the owners like em.

I've built 2 kits. Well sorta the kadet jr was a kit and I have a pete n poke on the bench. I'd just like to fly a smaller sport before I take the super sportster out on my own. I know all palnes end up as sticks but I'd like to get some enjoyment out of the sportster since it was expertly built

I was doing some more checking and I came across the: "The House of Balsa PT-19 is designed strong and light so it flies superbly on the smaller .25 to .32 size engines. Wing Loading is only 18 to 21 oz/sq ft." < as quoted Looks so good I may get one myself. The 25FX should be lots of engine for the plane. The plane is also decent size with 50 1/2" wing.

The people with the TT Lazy Tiger speak highly of it. It's got a big, thick wing, which allows it to fly slowly.
Another choice is one of the World Models Air Combat series. They are definitely not "scale" airplanes, but they fly great, and the price is good. Here's one of the 4: http://ecsvr.com/abm/shopexd.asp?id=72

I maidened my Thunder Tiger Lazy P-51 yesterday. I have an OS 25FX on it........I set up 50% low rates.....40% exponential in the ailerons and elevator. As I'm a beginner, I'm not ready for the high rates but I found this plane very easy to fly.....about the same as my Sig 4*. The Lazy P-51 has huge thick wings and a pretty much scale P-51 body. Its looks great in the air, will fly very slow, and is very stable.

Another kit plane to consider is the Sig Kobra. I had one years ago with an OSFSR25 if memory serves me right that I flew at half throttle because it was a wanna-be rocket at full throttle.
As far as kits any of the cheap Q-500 types would be sporty with a good 25.

I've got lots of stuff stashed away in my shop (Kobra, Patriot, SupraFly, Hyper Bee, Combat Gremlin, .15 size Marutaka F4 Phantom, HOB Chea Pass, and a few more). Oops, actually I moved them to an unused closet inside so they don't get so hot. Now I just need to make time to build all these things.

I plan to smoke all their *****"$ in October with a lekky
