i crashed my plan into the dirt. the engine seems to be ok but the carb is full of dirt so i know i need to take apart my engine and clean it. my engine is the evolution trainer power system which is .46 sized. what do i use to clean out the engine. i am going to take it all apart and clean it but not sure how. if y'all have any how to's or any info on how to do this i would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

hi try using a bit of fuel to clean it out!!once youve taken the head off just pour some in and swill it out.

Do not, repeat NOt turn the crankshaft AT ALL. If there's dirt in the engine, you may score the cylinder or piston walls, ruining the engine. Flush the carb out with clean fuel. Take it off and flush the intake port. Flush through the exhaust port. Carefully take the cylinder head off and flush the combustion chamber. Take the backplate off and the flush the crankcase. Now, slowly and carefully turn the crankshaft just a little. If you feel ANY grittiness, STOP!!! You'll have to take the cyliner liner and piston/connecting rod assembly out and flush the crankshaft journal. If there's no grittiness, turn the crankshaft completely a few times. If it's smooth, the engine is ok to reassemble, restart, and retune.
Some will recommend isopropyl alcohol. This contains water and may rust the steel parts in the engine. Others will recommend various methods and cleaning solutions. I've found this to work well. You won't use as much fuel as you might think, maybe a cup or two, and it won't hurt the engine.
