Thinking of getting one of these for the wife..she has flown glow powered some but it's a little scarry for her sometimes. anyone have any experience with the Kadet 42" electric. Seems a lot of ARF's come with a motor with just enough power to fly. This would be nice for both of us to go to the field.me with my glow and her with her electric. any comments appreciated.

Will be trying mine out with the stock motor and 1100 mah NIMH, My first test ran about 3 mins full throttle + 5 minutes 1/3 to 1/2 throttle, moving ailerons etc simultaneously. before esc cut motor out.
Seemed to feel prretty strong so I think it will lift plane no problem.
Key here is to order the 1100 mah NIMH battery as the dimensions are much smaller than other NiCAD batts etc. (width is only 1 + 1/8 inch) which fits into battery compartment nicely and doesn't overweight the plane.
I read on this forum that brush motors should be BROKEN IN before flying, which is what I am doing, at least running it an hour or so... between batt charges of course. This will provide a good confidence level also as to how long the flights will last and how the recharging is working on the Batt. Remember, per instructions, DO NOT FAST charge the 100 mah NIMH batt, only slow charge then trickle...
I should have mine up in about a week, so I will let you know.
