Hey bubba!

There was a HUGE selection of planes there... My photo's don't show all of the planes! I was in charge of the digicam and dad shot 2 rolls with a 35mm So maybe he shot some more!

The lawnmower is flyingthingz I beleive but the Witch and Snoopy are custom built.. Both appear to be a couple yrs old. But I could definatly be wrong!

Yes I love the bigger planes.. 40 sized are so touchy and snappy it seems... Then my 1.20 is just SO stable! I'm way more comfortable throwing it around than even a 40 sized beater because it's so stable! Next up on the list to learn are Blenders!

I thought about going with a G26 on this bird.. But since my G2300 spins a Mejzlik 18X6 at over 9k and I can fly for 22-24 minutes on 14 oz. I didnt want to spen $400 on a new gasser when I'm shelling out 600$ for a DA 50-R this winter!

Plus with the plane being under 9 lbs. its LITE!

But this winter a Wildhare Edge 540 (28%) and a DA 50-R will be my project!

I hope we get the other photo's developed today.. dadio saidhe got some good ones... We'll see!
ICE,

You need to watch out for those "bunny" planes (Wildhare) You know how bunnies are. Once you get one they are to cute so you get two and then they multiply. I have the Utlimate with a ZDZ50NG which I just finished but have not flown it yet, The 28% Edge is on order along with the Extra Special. I have flown both the Edge and Extra previously and it was only a matter of time. I'm a huge Ultimate fan so having one from WH just goes without saying.

The Edge and Extra are also getting ZDZ50NG's. ZDZ is the same price, same weight, same everything as the DA-50's and they are only 80 miles from me so if I order from them, I usually have it the next day. Not bad for 8 bucks in shipping.

Your correct the G26 and the ST2300 will turn the same prop without an issue and you are getting reat fuel burn with the ST so I agree, why change it. It was just a thought about getting used to gas, that's all, no big deal

Can't wait to see the rest of the pics.

Bubba,

I'm HOPING they multiply! How did you like the 28%ers? I'm not an Extra guy but I LOVE Edge's so thats what I opted for...I'll be ordering it closer to x-mas.

I didn't know at first what engine brand to go with but everyone seems to like DA and I see where they have awesome power and great customer service! Plus have you seen the logo's the guys at Aerographix make for 'em?? HAHA

I know what you mean about getting used to the gasser operation.. But i don't have the $$ to swap them.. I'll be sure and have Kenny help me get my 50cc up and running!

Chad,

Whatever planes I do get the $$ comes from the DADDY fund! But no 40%er in my near future.. Unless some one decides to sell one RTF for like a dollar Then I'll take it! But next year comes a job so then I'll be able to pay some of my own

ICE,

Loved the 28% WH planes, that's why I bought 2 of my own and they flew Oh so well. The Ultimate is a 29% plane but it's actually smaller than the 28% planes. I'm a bipe nut and I do like Edge's and Extra's but when it comes to having only one wing I more of a Cap person and wouldn't ya know it, there is a discussion going on in the WH forum right now about WH doing a Cap and he just got in some of the 28% Sukhoi's which are all composite. If Tom at WH keeps going I'm gonaa end up with allot of bunnies rooming around my hangar which is not a bad thing.

The Da's are the way to go as they do have a little more output than anyone else in the same size plus they are bullet proof.

I like the ZDZ line because the 50NG is around 50 bucks cheaper and are always in stock plus the shipping I get as explained before and are also bullet proof and they also have great customer service. Mike at RCShowcase is the one to talk to about RCS, ZDZ and Roto engines and if you need help with fixing one then John at RCShowcase is just as good as Mike.

DA-50's usually sell out with a few weeks of a production run as they are so popular

Yeah I think I'm going to have a talk with the "daddy fund" to see if I can go ahead and put in the order for the DA then it SHOULD be here by x-mas..

Haven't checked on the Edge in a while.. Are they staying in stock? If not may have to have another talk with the daddy fund! One thing is if the Cap is out ad has a good of a report as the Edge I'll have a tough time making a decision!

I actually contemplated selling the USL to get a 1.20 sized cap.. But the Ultra Stick is such an Awesome plane and will do Everything! So I couldn't let her go

Dad's still not home so I'm not sure if the film will make it to Wally world today or not[]

Soon!

I think dad said he got some good in flight pics... We tried with the digi cam but it just doesn't zoom in far enough and you get what I posted

Great quality close-up shots though! I can't want to see the 35mm shots!

I would check with Tom on the Edge's. From reading the threads, almost all of his planes do not stay in stock long. It's my understanding that the Ultimate stays around for something like 5 weeks and I believe I was the second person to pre-order one on the first shipment. I had the option to buy the first production one with everything installed (servos, engine, etc) when I went to Toledo this year but did not have enough funds on me to do it.

According to his [link=http://www.wildharerc.com]web site [/link] he just got a shipment in this week but he does not mention the bigger Edge's in it.

But I did see the Sukhoi's are coming in the end of August, hmm, glad I'm no longer married, I'd have to explain to someone why I'm gonna spend another $2000+ on a plane.

I am also thinking about his package deal on the Extra 260, ooppss there goes another $1800+, guess it's time to call VISA

Bruce,

He did mention he was going to hit the "daddy fund" early depending on what he found if Tom still has them in stock or not.

But dreaming is still fun, Like I mentioned, at least I do not have to justify to anyone but myself why I'm going to spend a few thousand on a couple of planes. BTW, since I am the only one I need to justify that too I'm pretty sure I can convince myself pretty quickly as too WHY I need one. Should be an interesting conversation though

Can't wait to see his other pics if they scan well

I want to hear what "the other you" has to say. If I don't see a serious attempt to talk you put of it, I'm going to declare a foul. Penalty will be that you have to surrender 2 existing planes to the PIF. Does that sound fair?
