Yay,
I was able to get in my Official Solo flight today. Was a frustrating day. I was flying and doing touch and goes from both directions until my instructor showed up and I had to do "The Test" (3 take off and landings from both directions) Twice I came up short and landed in the tall grass at the end of the runway. Just sucked as I was doing great before being scrutinized. So I turned around and started off from the right side, which is my normal weak side, and greased in 3 in a row. Then switched around and finished the left ones no prob. Damn brain getting in the way again.
This is actually my second solo, having just returned from a 7 year hiatus.
See ya in the sky boys,
Micheal

mdlnewman,
Congrats on the solo flight. It's such a great feeling when you finally solo. Heck, I bet you stil have that silly smile on your face don't ya? Don't worry about it, I had the same smile for months after I soloed.
A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).
Happy Flying

Congrats!! Dont worry, I've had the same problem landing from the right side. Dont know what it is... Guess I'm just used to South winds here most of the time, and my North- South runway. Took me a few times, but it's no problem now. You'll get past it!
