What is a good low wing 40 size plane kit that is easy to build. I have never built before so I am looking for one that is simple and straight forward to build. It does not need to be fast to build, as I am in no rush (I am still flying my Nexstar).
Somone recommended the Sig 4*40 and the CG Tiger 2. Any other recommendation.
Thanks

I have not soloed yet but the way its going I think it won't be too long.
I do not intend to fly the new plane soon as I am sure I will need to keep training on the Nesxtar for some time (even after I solo). I am looking for a plane that can keep me busy at home building it. As I said I am looking for something easy but not necessarily fast. In fact I think its better if the kit takes time as I do not want to finish it quickly and then have the urge to fly it before I have really completed my training on the Nexstar.

That's a good attitude. A lot of times new flyers are too quick to move up and will start on their second plane before they are really ready for it. Spend time on your Nexstar and improve your skills. Spend a lot of time practicing touch and go's. When you can take off, roll inverted, fly 3 laps around your field (including figure 8's), roll back upright, and land it's a good time to start thinking about your second plane.
As far as the choice, like I said they are both good choices. RCU member Mountaineerfan36 recently completed a build of a 4-star 60 which he was kind enough to share for the RCU community, you can find his build thread here:

Whichever choice you make, you will find plenty of support here on RCU to help you build.
Hope this helps.

I am near the end of my Sig somethin' extra build and it has been a pretty easy build. I havn't flown one before so I can't tell you how well it performs but it's a nice looking plane and goes together well. It's also selling for a great price on Tower Hobbies.

I second frager14. I am new to the hobby and I trained on the Avistar and my second plane is the Goldberg Tiger II so I decided to build a kit. The Sig Something Extra is a great kit and has wonderful instructions. I have thread for my build and there is several others.
Here is my thread... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_32...tm.htm#3231236
I have never flew this plane, but I heard so many good things about this plane. I have to say it one more time - The instructions are GREAT!!!
