I have a friend that has an old Webra .46 about 8 years ago he built a LT40 and crashed it on his first flight. No experience no instructor not a big surprise. Anyways i found out about it and we have rebuilt his plane but the engine turns over really stiff. I am hoping that it is like that from sitting for so long without ever having been cleaned or anything. Just wondering if there is something that i can do (oil of some type) to get this engine turning over smooth again. Or does he need to buy a new engine?

I've got an old Webra .40 that's been crashed several times, and still runs like a top. Like was said above, make sure you flush it out REALLY GOOD with fuel, and it should run just fine.

Warm it with a hair dryer until it turns more freely, then install a new glow plug, fill the tank with fresh fuel and try to start it. Unless the arn is completely gummed up, it should run.
