I have Joe Jackson as my instructor. Dean and Joe helped me put the plane together. I went to the field sometime last week, he trimmed my plane and I took control for a few minutes, but couldn't really really fly as I didn't have my radio (was using his so no buddy box).

We originally flew out at the ARCS Field and both are still members of the club but for the past 3 months we have been flying at Jimmy Cateney's field in Midway, PA. It is out by Quick Silver golf course. A big beautiful grass field. We love it there. We haven't been back to ARCS since joining there. A website with directions to the field is :

http://www.hovercrew.com

There are alot of pictures of the field there also. We both decide that we kinda like a grass field. The other advantage Midway has over ARCS is no trees to hunt for your plane in if you have an accident.

Hi Sal_11,we all have problems,Yesteday there was no wind ,73 degrees, and no clouds, club field was mowed short, after 4 hours at the field with the edge 540 and extra 300 and two flying friends,we had to give it up,getting to much of a sun tan, plus a mexican restaurant up the road needed patrons,by the time we got back to the field it was to dark to fly, guess we'll have to start earlier or maybe the club will install lights. Hope this makes you feel better, know I do.Grin,Grin,Giggle.

Hi Sal,

Don't fret about the weather. I know how you feel but I'd rather fly in decent weather and enjoy the experience than fly in lousy weather and have an awful time. I hope to see you out at the field one of these days.

Though a little wind today (chilly) we were able to fly . Sun was good on the back, though, like I said, the north wind was nip.
OH YEAH.....Happy Halloween to all!

Sal,

Did you get out last night. I hear they were at the field. I was stuck handing out candy to the kiddies. Sunday is about the only decent day this weekend. A little snow wont hut you but the 15-25 winds they're calling for aren't real promising. I'm going home from work and fire up the new Raptor and play in the back yard for a bit. Need to get this hover thing down pat and with the close quarters I have to be careful. Should help master it quicker.

Have a good weekend. We may be at Midway Sunday. Send me an e-mail and we can exchange numbers incase we decide to go we can give you a call.

Doug, I haven't been to the field yet. Joe was busy on thursday and I was out on Sunday, so it didn't work out. Hopefully sometime this week, if it stops raining .

I sent your number to GZlowplug. He gets to the field more than I do right now. I don't have a currend Drivers license. Once April hits I'll be there at least 3 times a week. My son gets his license in December so we'll be out more often then also. We'll turn you into a hardcore flyer. You'll be flying in 10 degree weather with us other nuts.....

Don't get too frustrated. I have planes and can fly I just have to beg borrow or steal a ride from someone so that I can enjoy the planes. My wife isn't real enthused about sopending the day at the field with the guys....
