Default Hooking up Fuel Tank to Engine

I am working on a House of Balsa A-T6 Texan, and am at the stage of hooking up a fuel tank. Since I don't have room for the muffler - I am trying to hook up the fuel tank w/o pressurizing the tank. My question is --- Do I have to vent the tank, or will I be O.K. with just the carb line???? This is an older Enya 15 engine. All F/B is welcome. :drowning:

Well, if you don't vent the tank, where is the air going to go when you fill it with fuel? And if you don't have the vent line exiting the Fuse, where is the excess fuel going to spill out, Inside the Fuse?

You decide.

You still need to vent the tank or else the fuel drawdown, as the engine runs, will create a vacuum.

I knew it had to be vented, for the very reasons that you guys gave. I guess that I'm just getting tired . Put to many hours into it with out a break. I appreciate your F/B.
