how to start the engine?

When i start up my trainer, everything is going just fine. But i wonder how you start up a funtana 90 when the cowl is on?
The cowl covers the engine so how do you prime it?
Just a stupid newb question

Most glow engines can be started without priming if you have an electric starter. You can also put your finger over the exhaust outlet for a few seconds while spinning the engine with the starter. By blocking the exhaust, you are forcing air pressure into the tank which forces fuel up to the carburetor.

so when my funtana is ready to fly, i just hold my finger over the exhaust outlet for a few seconds while i run the starter?
Didn"t know that!

If you have a starter, don't hold your finger over anything. Just turn the engine over with the starter. Fuel will be pulled up into the combustion chamber, and it will fire. The only complication (which really isn't a complication, you just have to allow for it) with starting a cowled engine is the glow driver. If the head is exposed, then just plug in the driver. If the head isn't exposed, then you'll need a remote glow ignitor. If you want to prime your engine, then hold your finger over the exhaust WHILE TURNING THE PROP BY HAND--NOT BY ELECTRIC STARTER. Then, once primed, hit it with the starter. I don't like using this method because of the possibilty of hydrolock, and the starter tearing up my engine. But, that's my preference.
Edit:
Make sure the glow driver isn't plugged in if you are priming it by hand! [X(]

Most engines only give you some problem when its the 1st start of the day, you can easily prime the engine by just sticking the re-fueling nozzle into the carb and pump in a few drops of fuel. I do that when its difficult to access to the carb to prime it. Drop in like 5-6 drops and then turn it over by hand and it will start great.
