Default Does this look like an airstrip to you?

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=-27.58...&iwloc=A&hl=en

This is a satelite photo of a place near where I live. It's a nice big open space and the elevations differ by no more than 6m.
The mown out section of lawn is almost exactly 100m (300ft) along the longest dimension and 80m (264ft) along the shortest dimension.

Based on the photos it looks like someone has constructed themselves a nice private airstrip for flying model planes.....

Are you here?.....

Sorry for spying

looks like it has some what of an airplane shape to me..... maby a plane crashed and burned the grass down and it just hasnt grown back!... if that is not your farm there, i would recamend giving the residence a visit and find out if its ok with them, if they own it.... if it is for ultra lights then im sure they wouldnt mind you running off of it...

Ultralights ay?

That whole open area has me confused. It's reserved for housing development but it's right near the local tip. I can't say I've ever seen any ultralights flying around the area.

The road that leads up to those houses is a public road so I might go have a look sometime.
