Another question for us newfie's. Does anyone know what the make up of this "activator" for CA is? Is there a substitue, a home chemical that can be used? Thanks

About a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of water seems to work well. Also, baking soda is good for filling cracks and gaps. Just fill the gap with soda and put a drop or two of thin CA on it. It turns rock hard.... but try not to have to sand it!

Crosswind,

Thanx! If this works well, it will mean that much more money I can spend on materials, rather than consumables. Until my wife finds out of course...

As with all chemicals, make sure that you have adequate ventilation.
