I've got a couple Electron 6 receivers, they work great and they're nice and small. Unfortunately, this is one of those items where Tower is rarely the low priced vendor. I looked at the Supreme 7 receivers, but the picture and decsription say the slots are not there for the alignment pins on Futaba style plugs. I've got lots of Futaba servos and I happen to think the alignment pins are a good idea, so I'm staying away from this receiver. Another receiver to watch is the Tower System 3000 7 channel. Reports are it is a Futaba R127DF with a different label. It's normally $60, but occasionally they put it on sale for $55, or even below $50. Oh, and Tower's receiver includes a crystal.

A decent RX for your Hitec system is a Hitec RX. Also good is the FMA.

I have a couple of these receivers, and what he is saying is correct, they are re-badges Futaba's and come with the crystal. Never had a problem with them. FMA direct also has compatible receivers.

Take a look at the Polk's Hobbies http://www.polkshobby.com/ receivers.

They are fully synthesized (do not require a crystal ) and cost about $60.00 - $80.00 (depending on if you want a 6 channel [$60 - $70] or an 8 channel [$70 - $80] ). Regular receivers cost about $45 - $55 and then add in about $8 - $10 for the crystal.

I have 3 of their receivers and have absolutely no complaints with them.
