It is easy to do and works great. If you look around you can probably find someone supplying one all ready to go. I think MRC made one. I just made a simple rack that sat on top of the wing center section and attached with rubber bands. Then 2 more rubber bands over the top of the glider wing to hold it against the 2 rails. And a servo that pulled the pin from a latch that released these rubber bands allowing the glider to soar off.

We had a setup like this at our field too. There was one huge problem with it that made it more trouble to use than it was worth. The bracket that came with the glider was only about 6" or so wide. The problem with this is that whenever you turned the trainer/mule aircraft the glider would "fight" the turn, it would lift up off of the bracket in turns. We had to have the glider pilot make the same turns as the trainer pilot did to prevent this from happening. It took a lot of communication between the pilot and the glider pilot to make turns. It turned out to be more trouble than it was worth, and we gave it up after 3-4 days of trying. While I haven't had the chance to fly one yet, I have seen the same setup with brackets that were > 2' wide and they didn't seem to have any of those problems.
So in short, if you bracket is less than 24" apart then it's not really worth the hassle.

If I remember right Horizon had a set up to carry a glider a few years ago. You might give them a call and see if it's still around. A friend and I built a set up for this but it's been awhile and I don't remember to much about it and can't find the pictures.
I do know that we had a ball with it and it worked great, in fact we used it for a couple airshows. In respect to turning: we found that while the glider was on board that once in the air it was better for the glider pilot to do the steering.
Sorry I can't be more help. You might want to go to the glider forum, they should be able to help you.

One of the guys in our flying group has a glider launch that you piggyback on the top of a trainer plane and it works pretty good. The trainer we use is an older hanger 9 extra easy (blue and white version not the easy 2). Hanger 9 makes some add-ons for that plane such as a camera mount - drop box (bomb drop) - glider launch bracket. If you can find a LHS that handles hanger 9 stuff you might be able to find one or atleast order it from them. Basically all the glider launch is made up of is 2 plates with a few crossmembers and a servo mounted in the middle to pull the release pins from the rubber bands holding your glider on top.....pretty simple design actually.

Looks like leisure time (never dealt with them before) has the hanger 9 glider launch for $17.79.....hanger 9 part number han1325

Hope that helps,

If your Nexstar is a rtf with AFS, turn the AFS to about 75% and the plane will stay pretty flat in the turns. Use alot of rudder a little aileron. This will help keep the glider square.
