Hi everbody i was wondering if anyone could recommend a RTF 3-ch plane that is electric(becuase gas planes are illegal in my area in california,I don't know why though) for under $300. I curently have a hobbyzone firebird commander 2 and it flies great, just i am getting tad bit bored with it. and also if you could recomend a good RTF slow stick that is also 3-ch. Thanks a lot

Hi Deb, I don't know who told you that gas planes are illeagal in your part of California, but they are mistaken! I see you are in Manteca, I'm in Tracy maybe 10 miles away and they fly gas & fuel planes here all the time. If you want you can pm me, I'll get the name of the Manteca club for ya, it's on airport rd & you can fly a gas/fuel plane there or over here in Tracy.

I don't know anything about that, but no need to be sorry. Are you talking about some new proposition that you saw or what? It does seem like there's allways some group or another trying to get them outlawed somewhere, but for now they're still legal around here, at least at the AMA clubs in the area. I certainly wouldn't reccomend taking it to the park with ya though!

the only reason i got into this hobby six months ago is because they put a new park in my area that is absolutly huge. I want to stick with electric with the most part so i can wake at 6 A.M. and take it down to the park while there is no wind during the sunny mornings of summer without having to get in my car and go driving.

deb, If you wanna stay with electrics for the park but want to step up from what you've been flying check out this link, maybe something like this little RTF Edge 540 would be fun @ the park. It's within your stated budget. Good luck.
