Default pilot figures

Does anyone know of a place to find novelty pilot figures? i.e. Kenny from Southpark, Snoopy, etc. I have looked around a bit and can only find the normal scale type figures.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year everybody.

Try a craft store instead of a hobby shop. on the east coast something like a Michaels, or nation wide at hobby lobby.

You could check places like Wallmart in the toy section. Thats where I get my pilots and usually end up cutting off most of the body because the canopys are not very tall. [8D]

I have found them all over the place. Wal-mart, Toys-R-Us, garage sales are a great source, even Happy Meals at McDonald's. I keep an eye out for interesting toys whenever I go anyplace. If I see something that's interesting I'll buy it and hang on to it in case I may need it in the future.

Hope this helps

Ken

Thanks gents,

I thought I would have to create my own from a toy, but wasnt sure if there was a website that sold such fun. Hmmmm, perhaps an ebusiness in the making.

Thanks again,
JJ

all mine are from toys including (as someone mentioned earlier) from mcdonalds. by doing it that way, you can almost be sure you have a one-of-a-kind pilot!

these are a few examples. bart's not mine... a friend of mines. that plane was purdy but a pain in the rear to fly. he barrel rolled it on the first landing.

On my Spad Debonair and Wingo, I used a Jack-in-the-Box, Jack antenna ball head. http://www.jacks-gear.com/ The one on my Debonair has a baseball helmet. I like Jack as my pilot, he doesn't do anything I wouldn't do and we seem to crash together. You have to keep an eye out for the different Jack antenna ball heads on sale.

Does anyone know where I can find some fighter pilots with helmets, oxygen masks etc? I'm building a Tomcat and would like to put something decent in it.

eloso, You mentioned an e-business. I thought the very same thing a few months back after searching high & low for a crash-test-dummy to make a pilot with for one of my planes. It seemed the perfect match for my flying skills & I didn't think anyone else would want to be in the cockpit while I was at the sticks [X(]. Still no crash-test-dummy in sight though! Now I need to find a little Dragon to make a pilot out of. It should be a little easier to find one that will work since he will be in an open cockpit. Good luck in search.

I've seen a pilot figure that I HAVE TO HAVE!!!!!!!!

It's a small little jackass. Cute but still a jackass. Would be perfect for me.

I found my Dragon for $4.99 There is a new store called "Toy Knights", & they have the coolest & largest selection of small figures I have ever seen! Mostly stuff related to "the knights of the round table" type era, but they also have alot of animals & a huge selection of Wizards, Castles, & Dragons. I found the one I wanted, in the perfect size & color for my Dragon Lady ARF & it is in great detail & very nice looking. I couldn't believe the price. They also have some more expensive stuff made of pewter that is very nice too. If you ever happen upon this store, ( they say there are more than just the one I found) go in & have a look, ya just might find something ya like.
