Default Engines on Ebay?

I read that engines can be bought on Ebay, but I couldn't find them. Can someone tell me under what listing they can be found on Ebay?
Thanks.

If you are looking for airplane engines try this link.

Search for:

"engine"
"OS"
"Thunder Tiger"
...
etc

do what redwing says, and then go to the category....it should be something like "hobbies and crafts: models: airplanes: gas powered"

Redwing is right, there are some lemons out there, and the new engines that I've seen really don't sell for cheaper than you can get them from tower hobbies or someplace similar.....plus you get nailed on shipping charges sometimes....always look into that before you bid.

Default Engines on Ebay?

I have bought engines, kits and tons of other stuff on both ebay and rcu. I have found, that for the most part, (not all included, just most) the people are honest and great to deal with. I have hundreds of transactions on both Ebay and RCU and have only been burned one time. So far so good. If you have questions on an item, ask specific questions, you should be fine. You can search for a particular model of engine, or get more hits with searching things like just part of a name like OS or enya or whatever. You shouldn't have a problem. Just stay away from buying from people with negative or no feedback.

Default RCU Forum Rules

(10) No auction posts please. No asking for bids or words that would lead the buyer to assume you are having an auction. No ads linking to external auction sites allowed in the for sale or discussion forums. If you have an item for auction at another site and are bound by their contract to fulfill the terms of the auction, please do not post the same item for sale at RCU.

Please stop posting E-Bay linx here...
Thanx,
Gastronom

Hmmm:

"No ads linking to external auction sites allowed in the for sale or discussion forums."

Wouldn't that mean something like "Hey I have an OS FX .46 for sale on E-Bay at "link".

It doesn't seem like simply directing someone with a valid question to E-Bay would violate that rule.

Just pondering.

Gosh almighty. That rule is clearly meant to prevent links to stuff for sale, not to prevent people from learning where to find general catagories.

I just wanted to get him in the right direction.
I do think that buying stuff from this forum is a better idea.
More personal and probably more honest.

I believe that we do have a rule here that says no EBAY linx at all... If you need to learn how to use Ebay, I would suggest reading the help section that is within the ebay website. As far as being trigger happy, well maybe, but the numbers show that we are doing something right here and the majority of the people are happy with this service.

Gastronom is right guys. Whether you like it or not, RCU is doing better that many other R/C forums because of its content, which is governed by rules. I don't like them myself at times, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

No links to ebay. No links to porn sites. No links to hacker sites, etc.

In the long run, it just makes for a good forum.

The rules are there like stated to help RCU run smoother and be more user friendly. Yes sometimes we get called on it, but in the long run we have found that these rules do work for the betterment of all. Thank you for understanding and continue to enjoy the site.................................oh BTW, might want to read the rules just in case you haven't.
