Hello I am new to this whole R/C Flying realm. Today me and my friends went to a park to fly the Sky Pilot RTF. I had flown the Air Force Presidential Boeing 747 so I thought this plane would just be easy as the other. It wasn't... Taking off against the wind direction was not easy as I thought it would be. I had set the plane on the asfault and started the motors. I waited a while until I pressed the elevator button up but the plane didn't go up - instead it turned the other way ready to crash. I tried numerous times while my friends watched but to my dismay it never tried to take off. An Expert told me this was a good plane, I hope he was right about that because I spent over 100 dollars on it when I could of invested in something better like the P-51 Mustang PST. One of my friends decided to throw it against the wind because maybe there wasn't enough wind to push it up in the air. So we did... He threw it in the wind direction and the plane fell to the ground automatically. The front wheel on the plane broke. Well We tried it again, my friend threw it towards the wind direction and it fell again. We checked to see if the wings were balanced, they still were.. Strangely enough I started to have some doubt that maybe i wans't ready for this. However my friend is in aviation and knows about wind and how we should appreciate it. But he was bewildered why it didn't lift. We tried one more time - I wish I never did this but he threw it and it hit the grass and hte motor front sorta got bent, plastic at the top was bent as well. We put this plane away to our dismay of it causing us trouble and got out the Boeing 747 which flew perfectly in the air. I am still confused why the plane didn't take off or what we did wrong for it not to even fly in the air. I am looking at the Sky Pilot now and trying to figure out why it didn't fly. Was there something we missed, perhapes little not enough wind, motor was going to slow to fly or was it the fact that the plane itself wasn't good as they told me. I am up for any suggestions, advice, etx I really want to learn the real basics but I have no expert here to tell me why and the only option is to seek help online ... Thanks Again
