Hey all,

I am pretty new here and could use a little help with some of the acronyms. What is IMHO? I have seen a few others that I couldnt figure out, so any other common ones would be appreciated. I am sure I will feel like an idiot when I find out what it means, as I am sure it is something simple that should have popped into my head, so feel free to chuckle. Thanks in advance.

Sorry Senza,

OCD obsessive compulsive disorder. I was so frustrated at not knowing IMHO that I was driving myself mad trying to figure it out. I dont actually have OCD, and if anyone reading this does, I meant no offense, I was just trying to be a little silly.

I hate acronyms and wish people would simply say what they mean. I realize the idea is to save time; However, is the time differance between typing "IMHO" and "In My Humble Opinion" enough to get you to your kids soccer practice on time?

I'm getting acronymed out! There are way too many of them and too many of them use the same 2-5 letters; but, have completely different meanings!

No, I say; Say what you mean and mean what you say! Now, don't even get me started on those stupid little "smiley faces"! [:@] LOL

Mode,

ILHYEYSWLOL, "I Love How You Ended Your Sentence With LOL." I agree the acrynoms can get tedious, but since they are used I feel better informed. Just in case EIAM, "eloso is a moron," becomes the new rage.

thanks again all

How are you "better informed"? Is it because now you know what the meanings of acronyms are; or, because you don't have to read as many words, you are reading faster?

IMHO RCU could use a few more acronyms. Talking about RC can get complicated and to prevent a SNAFU we should all use them to save time. This goes for everyone in the AMA including the VP who, may indeed be a VIP suffering from OCD. BTW using acronyms does save time allowing for a run to the LHS without the wife thinking I went AWOL which most of us have BTDT. If this happens you may as well BOHICA and you may wind up with KP in which case you will have to say FIGMO to flying in the near future. FWOW that is my .02

LOL...LMAO....ROFL

Lowflyby,

Thank you from all us acronym deficient types! I have printed this list out and it is taped to the the side of my monitor! I think this list is so important, I am making copies available for a nominal fee for those like me, whom suffer from Acute Acronym Deficientency Disorder, or AADD as I like to call it!
