Default SE Downthrust

Hello All,

I have think my Something Extra needs some downthrust. Whenever I give it full throttle, It almost goes vertical. I have it trimmed for straight level flight at half open. It flys wonderful at that setting. But when I need full open, it seems to go straight vertical. I have checked the balance and it is per the manual. I am planning to give the plane a little downthrust to see if that will help correct the problem. My question is, is it better to add washers under the back of the motor or the top of the motor mount?

Thanks.

In determining thrust/trim needs, Have the plane trimmed for your usual cruise power level. Then chop the throttle.....

If the plane noses up and wants to stall, there was too much down thrust.

If the plane wants to dive too fast in glide, you need some down thrust.

Enjoy,

Jim
